The YouTube Partnership Enablement Team is focused on providing comprehensive services and solutions to YouTube content partners and our internal Content Partnerships team. Our multifaceted team members work together with various cross-functional stakeholders throughout YouTube to address our partners’ most pressing needs. We develop cross-functional programs and go-to-market resources for products, policies and content strategies that are strategically important for YouTube’s partner ecosystem.

Music Solutions, which sits within the Partnership Enablement organization, manages programs that involve and support our YouTube Music partners. Our team ensures new products and policies land well and supports cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of initiatives of every size.

As a Black Music & Cultures Program Manager, you’re passionate for Black music and culture, and the advancement of racial justice globally. You’ll work closely with your key cross functional stakeholders to effectively implement global strategic initiatives in support of Black and other diverse music communities on YouTube. You’ll manage multiple projects across different areas of focus, and work as a cross-functional leader and contributor on communications, program development, deal terms, contract fulfillment, analytical reporting and tracking. In this role you’ll also help drive the successful launch, growth, and adoption of key programs, products and/or policies among our Black and other diverse artists.

Responsibilities
  • Develop program strategies with cross-functional teams, in support of Black and other diverse music communities and drive operational efficiency, lead complex cross-functional projects and workstreams, obtain cross-functional and regional support, and present cohesive programs in partnership with program leads to executive leadership for approvals.
  • Analyze performance/impact of community programs using data and analytics, present results to executive leadership and stakeholders
  • Represent the Music team in cross-functional team planning and program implementation, provide thought leadership, contribute to brainstorms, ensure global alignment from Partnership Enablement and counterparts
  • Maintain program budget, assess business state and secure resources as needed to deliver on quarterly and annual goals
  • Organize/maintain communications to broader team, and upwards to executive leadership, partner with the Director of Black Music & Culture to execute strategic priorities, including product strategy, artist outreach, and industry activations

Minimum qualifications:
  • 6 years of program management experience leading cross-functional initiatives, creating operational efficiencies, and developing processes with stakeholders across regions
  • 6 years of experience in developing narratives and creating strategies
  • Experience with and relationships in the Black music community

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with and relationships in other diverse music communities (e.g. LGBTQ+, Latinx, and more)
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Partnerships, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and PR
  • Experience managing large-scale, external facing programs and launching global activations
  • Experience handling high stress situations and remaining focused on accomplishing tasks. Demonstrated project management skills
  • Effective analytical, communication and presentation skills, with ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving and collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage and coordinate multiple simultaneous activities.
